BMW System Repairs

BMW Performance Exhausts

Your BMW Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:

  • BMW Manifold
  • BMW Front Downpipe
  • BMW Centre Section
  • BMW Rear silencer box

BMW Silencer Or Back Box

BMW Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your BMW engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Bmw's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.

Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Bmw's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your BMW exhaust.

Your BMW Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.

A problem with your BMW backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.

If your BMW exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your BMW exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your BMW exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
