Chevrolet Performance Exhausts
Your Chevrolet Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Chevrolet Manifold
- Chevrolet Front Downpipe
- Chevrolet Centre Section
- Chevrolet Rear silencer box
Chevrolet Silencer Or Back Box
Chevrolet Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Chevrolet engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Chevrolet's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Chevrolet's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Chevrolet exhaust.
Your Chevrolet Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Chevrolet backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Chevrolet exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Chevrolet exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Chevrolet exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
