Daihatsu Performance Exhausts
Your Daihatsu Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Daihatsu Manifold
- Daihatsu Front Downpipe
- Daihatsu Centre Section
- Daihatsu Rear silencer box
Daihatsu Silencer Or Back Box
Daihatsu Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Daihatsu engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Daihatsu's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Daihatsu's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Daihatsu exhaust.
Your Daihatsu Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Daihatsu backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Daihatsu exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Daihatsu exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Daihatsu exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
