Honda Performance Exhausts
Your Honda Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Honda Manifold
- Honda Front Downpipe
- Honda Centre Section
- Honda Rear silencer box
Honda Silencer Or Back Box
Honda Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Honda engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Honda's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Honda's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Honda exhaust.
Your Honda Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Honda backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Honda exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Honda exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Honda exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
