Jaguar Performance Exhausts
Your Jaguar Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Jaguar Manifold
- Jaguar Front Downpipe
- Jaguar Centre Section
- Jaguar Rear silencer box
Jaguar Silencer Or Back Box
Jaguar Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Jaguar engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Jaguar's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Jaguar's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Jaguar exhaust.
Your Jaguar Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Jaguar backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Jaguar exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Jaguar exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Jaguar exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
