Jeep Performance Exhausts
Your Jeep Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Jeep Manifold
- Jeep Front Downpipe
- Jeep Centre Section
- Jeep Rear silencer box
Jeep Silencer Or Back Box
Jeep Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Jeep engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Jeep's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Jeep's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Jeep exhaust.
Your Jeep Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Jeep backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Jeep exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Jeep exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Jeep exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
