Kia System Repairs

Kia Performance Exhausts

Your Kia Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:

  • Kia Manifold
  • Kia Front Downpipe
  • Kia Centre Section
  • Kia Rear silencer box

Kia Silencer Or Back Box

Kia Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Kia engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Kia's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.

Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Kia's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Kia exhaust.

Your Kia Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.

A problem with your Kia backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.

If your Kia exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Kia exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Kia exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
