Land Rover Performance Exhausts
Your Land Rover Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Land Rover Manifold
- Land Rover Front Downpipe
- Land Rover Centre Section
- Land Rover Rear silencer box
Land Rover Silencer Or Back Box
Land Rover Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Land Rover engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Land Rover's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Land Rover's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Land Rover exhaust.
Your Land Rover Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Land Rover backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Land Rover exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Land Rover exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Land Rover exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
