Lexus Performance Exhausts
Your Lexus Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Lexus Manifold
- Lexus Front Downpipe
- Lexus Centre Section
- Lexus Rear silencer box
Lexus Silencer Or Back Box
Lexus Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Lexus engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Lexus's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Lexus's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Lexus exhaust.
Your Lexus Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Lexus backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Lexus exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Lexus exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Lexus exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
