Mazda System Repairs

Mazda Performance Exhausts

Your Mazda Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:

  • Mazda Manifold
  • Mazda Front Downpipe
  • Mazda Centre Section
  • Mazda Rear silencer box

Mazda Silencer Or Back Box

Mazda Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Mazda engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Mazda's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.

Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Mazda's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Mazda exhaust.

Your Mazda Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.

A problem with your Mazda backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.

If your Mazda exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Mazda exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Mazda exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
