Mini Cooper Performance Exhausts
Your Mini Cooper Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Mini Cooper Manifold
- Mini Cooper Front Downpipe
- Mini Cooper Centre Section
- Mini Cooper Rear silencer box
Mini Cooper Silencer Or Back Box
Mini Cooper Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Mini Cooper engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Mini Cooper's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Mini Cooper's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Mini Cooper exhaust.
Your Mini Cooper Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Mini Cooper backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Mini Cooper exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Mini Cooper exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Mini Cooper exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
