Porsche Performance Exhausts
Your Porsche Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Porsche Manifold
- Porsche Front Downpipe
- Porsche Centre Section
- Porsche Rear silencer box
Porsche Silencer Or Back Box
Porsche Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Porsche engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Porsche's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Porsche's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Porsche exhaust.
Your Porsche Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Porsche backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Porsche exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Porsche exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Porsche exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
