Renault Performance Exhausts
Your Renault Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Renault Manifold
- Renault Front Downpipe
- Renault Centre Section
- Renault Rear silencer box
Renault Silencer Or Back Box
Renault Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Renault engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Renault's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Renault's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Renault exhaust.
Your Renault Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Renault backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Renault exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Renault exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Renault exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
