Newcastle and Gateshead Seat Exhaust and Catalytic Converter Refit

Seat System Repairs

Seat Performance Exhausts

Your Seat Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:

  • Seat Manifold
  • Seat Front Downpipe
  • Seat Centre Section
  • Seat Rear silencer box

Seat Silencer Or Back Box

Seat Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Seat engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Seat's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.

Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Seat's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Seat exhaust.

Your Seat Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.

A problem with your Seat backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.

If your Seat exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Seat exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Seat exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
