Skoda Performance Exhausts
Your Skoda Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Skoda Manifold
- Skoda Front Downpipe
- Skoda Centre Section
- Skoda Rear silencer box
Skoda Silencer Or Back Box
Skoda Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Skoda engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Skoda's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Skoda's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Skoda exhaust.
Your Skoda Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Skoda backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Skoda exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Skoda exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Skoda exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
