Subaru Performance Exhausts
Your Subaru Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Subaru Manifold
- Subaru Front Downpipe
- Subaru Centre Section
- Subaru Rear silencer box
Subaru Silencer Or Back Box
Subaru Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Subaru engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Subaru's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Subaru's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Subaru exhaust.
Your Subaru Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Subaru backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Subaru exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Subaru exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Subaru exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
