Tvr Performance Exhausts
Your Tvr Exhaust can be completely replaced or, depending upon condition we can replace any problem sections:
- Tvr Manifold
- Tvr Front Downpipe
- Tvr Centre Section
- Tvr Rear silencer box
Tvr Silencer Or Back Box
Tvr Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Tvr engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Tvr's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Tvr's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Tvr exhaust.
Your Tvr Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Tvr backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Tvr exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Tvr exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Tvr exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
