Vw Polo Silencer Or Back Box
Vw Polo Silencer Or Back Box normally needs replacing first.
Fuel combustion in your Vw Polo engine creates water vapour. As it passes along your Vw Polo's cold exhaust pipes it condenses back into liquid water.
Sulphur and Nitrogen Oxide gases passing through you Vw Polo's catalytic converter are absorbed by the water creating Acidic moisture that can attack the steel of your Vw Polo exhaust.
Your Vw Polo Silencer is the last part of the exhaust system to be heated and on short journeys may not heat up enough to eliminate the acidic condensation.
A problem with your Vw Polo backbox will give a loud roaring noise as the silencer ceases to be effective.
If your Vw Polo exhaust is rattling then a support bracket or rubber mount may have corroded or come loose. The rubber on your Vw Polo exhaust hanger can become brittle and snap leaving your Vw Polo exhaust system hanging loose.
Cracks in the exhaust pipes and failed gaskets, blockages all create unusual sounds so if you suspect that your exhaust is less than perfect it's best to have it checked.
